Learn to Read through Conversation & Play

Why I Created "Teddy in Trouble"

Developed by Dr. K, Parent & Educator

As a kindergarten teacher, I saw how powerful it is when kids actively participate in storytime instead of just listening passively.

That’s why I created Teddy in Trouble—a series about a mischievous character whose mishaps spark conversations between kids and their caregivers. By engaging kids in conversation during storytime, we can enhance literacy and critical thinking skills while making reading fun!

Parents & Experts Love Teddy

As a kindergarten teacher for 27 years, I’m always looking for new ways to make teaching sight words meaningful and exciting. Your Sight Words Box takes a holistic and play-based approach. I would definitely recommend it to any parent or teacher of emergent readers.

Karen | Lead Kindergarten Teacher

After reading about Teddy’s troubles, we can chat about why he made certain choices and what we might do in a similar situation. It helped me connect with my kids at a deeper level. I highly recommend this book series.
